We are all still reflecting on the huge changes and challenges that we faced in 2020. An increased focus on strategic planning and employee welfare has brought responsible investments into sharp focus with unprecedented capital commitments directed towards more responsible investments, as environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors becoming mandated in law.
In March 2021, the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations will come into force, requiring investment funds to show how sustainability risks are incorporated into their investment decisions. This will apply not only to fund managers, financial advisers and many other regulated firms in the EU, but also to non-EU managers marketing into the EU.
Join our panel of experts as they discuss the implications for the investment fund industry and its stakeholders. We will also look in detail at how the Channel Islands’ investment funds industry is creating the offshore frameworks for sustainable finance.
