The Forum offered opportunities for reinforcing business relations between South Africa and Japan
Japan remains a strong partner for Africa, jointly exploring opportunities for a sustainable future in many fields, notably trade, finance and agriculture.
As Japan became a prominent investor in Africa, both business communities undeniably have much to offer to each other.
Nikkei Business and African Business, organised the Africa-Japan Business Investment Forum. Opened by HE Hailemariam Desalegn, Prime Minister of Ethiopia, the exclusive two-day strategic event brought together Africa’s top business leaders and a delegation of Japanese investors seeking new partners and opportunities across the continent.
This forum was an ideal setting for South African entrepreneurs to network with their Japanese counterparts and build stronger trade relations. South Africa Minister of Finance, Hon. Nhlanhla Nene, delivered a key note address on Infrastructure development.
On the agenda: agribusiness, commodities, energy, finance, infrastructure, knowledge economy, and logistics.
